Muchas veces, cuando nos ha pasado alguna cosa mala durante el día o hemos vivido un momento difícil, solemos generalizar diciendo que hemos tenido "un mal día". Es verdad que a veces, por las circunstancias que sean, tenemos razón al pensar o decir eso, pero muchas otras veces lo que nos ha ocurrido no es tan importante y también nos han pasado cosas buenas, pero priorizamos lo "malo" que nos ha pasado y acabamos cubriendo con esa idea las cosas positivas del día. Vamos a intentar al llegar la noche, hacer un balance de todo lo vivido, tanto lo bueno como lo malo y vamos a darle a cada cosa la importancia que se merece. And it’s WELLNESS WEDNESDAY (relationship wellness edition!) • Something that we in the wellness space focus on ALOT is the food and exercise portion of the equation. But to me, that’s just 1/6 of what wellness is. • SWIPE for my wellness pie🥧 • There are 5 other topics of wellness that I like to think are codependent on the food and exercise side of health and wellness: 1. Emotional/ Academic Wellness 2. Spiritual Wellness 3. Financial Wellness 4. SOCIAL & RELATIONSHIP Wellness • Sometimes we forget that our social construct helps build our own individual self. We need to interact and surround ourselves with this who have similar goals and interest to drive us to being the most optimal versions of ourselves! • Here are my tips for building/maintaining your social well-being: 1. Plan date nights (with both your significant others and friends!) 2. Go to local networking events to build your social network! And keep in touch with these peeps🐣 3. Invite a family member or friend to help build your other areas of wellness (aka a healthy cooking class, a workout that you love, or simply going to a summit or seminar in your area!) 4. Get in touch with your emotions and be able to communicate them to ensure that your friends, family’s, partners are reminded of their value! 5. Always lead with respect in all relationships. It’s free and can not only build your character, but your relationships as well😊 • Moral of the story, plan your social habits just like you would plan your meals or workout. Be kind and lead with respect. Make it a priority and continue to build all areas of wellness🥰

I didn’t realise how much I needed time to reconnect with friends until we set off on the road trip to @willowtreewilby in Suffolk last Friday. I met all 7 women through my kids primary school and I feel really lucky to know them. In their company I felt free to simply be me. On Saturday night we all sat round the table at the cottage and played games. I realised I needed my collaging fix and so while they played a very funny card game I created this piece featuring the wonderful @ladyvelo The joy of collaging (ooh that might be the title of my book one day 😂) is that I can work almost anywhere. I talked and laughed with them but ultimately creating the work took me to a euphoric place of peace- maybe it sounds weird, but it’s difficult to articulate. . Did you know that our bodies contain two lipoproteins that carry cholesterol throughout the body? - One is LDL (low-density lipoprotein) aka ‘bad’ cholesterol and the other is HDL (high-density lipoprotein) aka ‘good’ cholesterol. - And once again food comes in for the rescue as these are some of the foods that can help lower LDL levels and increase HDL levels. - Soy helps to increase HDL levels. - Flaxseed is a great source of omega 3 and fiber which reduce the absorption of fat and cholesterol. - Artichoke and zucchini are high in fiber which help to lower cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. - Garlic contains allicin which is its main active compound. This compound contains natural antibiotic properties that aid in managing cholesterol levels. - Berries are very high in antioxidants which can inhibit LDL. - Avocados contain phytosterols which prevent cholesterol from being absorbed by the intestine. - Lastly, even though beets aren’t in this image they are also one of the great foods I recommend as an aid in combating high cholesterol. Beets are high in nitrates which your body converts into Nitric Oxide (important regulator of blood pressure). The Nitric Oxide causes blood vessels to relax and dilate allowing blood to flow properly. - Did you know that when your body has to much LDL cholesterol it can build up on the walls of your blood vessels? This buildup is called ‘plaque’ and overtime it can cause your vessels to narrow blocking blood flow to and from your heart and other organs. - Hope everyone is having a great day😊

Men meditation och Yinyogan hjälper mig. Det får mig mer medveten om mina tankar, så att jag kan (försöka) kliva av det tanketåget. Mycket av mitt lidande handlar om att känna mig otillräcklig (inte bra nog, inte snygg nog, inte smart nog, inte tjänar nog osv). Men i dag ska jag försöka att inte hoppa på det gamla tanketåget, utan istället göra som @yogabyjenny nyss sjöng: Gör din grej... ❤️
