The last few days have been beyond wonderful. Most of us (cast) were staying in a gigantic treehouse overlooking the mountains of Utah. Every morning I would wake up at sunrise to run like a lunatic in -10 degrees, struggling with the altitude but grateful for every hill I climbed. Then by night I would be dressing up in my horror costume and performing in @circus_of_terror for Fearcon - with an entire audience of cosplay horror characters. There’s nothing quite like getting a standing ovation from Pennywise!⠀ I was not made for a normal life 🙃⠀ Thank you so much @thevampirecircus !! ⠀ Salt Lake City ✔ next stop: St Louis!
Cape Town - Ethiopia - England - Switzerland. It’s been a busy 3 days and by the time I was going on stage last night in Zurich, I was exhausted. But as I walked on something incredible happened. Usually when I perform it’s my goal to inspire the audience but this time the audience inspired me. The room was alive with energy and the atmosphere was so uplifting that it turned into my favourite show I’ve ever performed. I don’t know how I deserve such beautiful moments, but I was reminded that I’m nothing without those who inspire me - whether that’s family, friends or total strangers. Thank you Switzerland! ⠀ ⠀ And of course, thank you @emmamylan and @ohhlalacherie_zurich for this special night!
14 hours of flying into 11 hours of driving, all for just 1 minute on stage. And yet that 1 minute gave me more energy and happiness then all those hours combined. Like the friend you can rely on, the stage will always find a way to pick you up and make you shine again. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Thank you for the most beautiful costume @neilednie ! And for @mirrorballproductionsltd for the gig 🙂
Another day, another flight. Another goodbye and then another. Does it get lonely? I’m already onto the next job before I can feel it. Just as quickly the sun sets, I’ll be rising elsewhere across the world. At least you learn to appreciate the view whilst you have it. Never become attached to a sunset. See you in the morning London 📸: @markwolhuter
Do that thing you’ve always wanted to do, go to that place you’ve always wanted to visit. It may cost money but the happiness you’ll feel has a much higher value. Money should spent on making memories.
How can you be bored in a world as beautiful as this?
Surprise surprise, I’m back at the airport! This time to my beloved Cape Town!! Seeming as it’s my 6th flight in the last two weeks 🙈 I thought I would write a list of advice for you all. Enjoy!⠀ 6 lessons I’ve learnt from frequent flying:⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 1. Jetlag is harder to recover from if you’re travelling to the East, as it’s more difficult to train your body into sleeping earlier for the new time zone (rather than just staying up later when you fly to the west).⠀ 2. Hummus is classed as a liquid and does not pass through security. But it does when it’s in your stomach, after you’ve angrily sat there and eaten an entire tub to prove a point⠀ 3. Airlines fill plane seats from front to back. So if you select a seat at the back of the plane you are less likely to have someone sitting next to you.⠀ 4. It is NOT advisable to go on a date with the head of border control. When things turn awkward you may have to avoid Munich airport forever⠀ 5. Stretching before a flight can help stop the swelling in your legs and even prevent blood clots. *drops into splits at the gate*⠀ 6. Overweight luggage fees can be avoided with donut related bribery.
